How do I become a member?

Step 1: Walk Forward

Towards the end of every Worship Service, our Pastor offers an Invitation —a time to come forward if you have not received Christ as your personal Savior or would like to rededicate your life to Christ and/or if you are in search of a church home and would like to join Beebe Memorial Cathedral. Responding to the Invitation is an essential, simple step in accordance to Scripture, instructing us to make a public profession of faith.

Step 2: Visit with a Decision Counselor

When you walk forward, a Decision Counselor will greet you. Typically, there are several other people who make decisions for Christ and church membership at the same time, so you will not be alone. Those who are making decisions will be escorted to our Decision Counseling Room that is located just outside the Sanctuary in the North end of our building. In this very comfortable setting, the Decision Counselor will talk to you individually about your decision and membership. This usually takes only 5-10 minutes.

Step 3: Attend New Member Orientation

You will be informed about New Member Orientation, which is a mandatory training for all new members and is the primary requirement for involvement in Beebe Memorial Cathedral’s Ministries. It is designed to inform you of foundational concepts including the church history, our statement of faith, our mission, vision and goals. It also covers topics of the Christian faith such as Holy Communion, Habits to live a Christian life, What it Means to be Involved in Ministry, Humanity and Sin, Salvation, Baptism, and Prayer and Tithing.

New Member Orientation also exists to encourage you to get connected to our Church body via our servant communities. You will be introduced to how God has equipped each one of us to serve effectively within the Body of Christ through teachings on Spiritual Gifts and utilizing those gifts in ministry.
